Meet Our Teachers

Angie Bucu
Angie Bucu

I am delighted to be working with and sharing the benefits of mindfulness practices across the whole community. I am an MBSR Teacher, Certified Mindfulness Instructor, Mindfulness Teacher Trainer and entrepreneur.

I am offering Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in groups both online and in-person. I design and lead workshops, short courses and practice groups for clients, customized to their needs. These clients include companies, schools, teacher and parent groups, and non-government support groups and charities.

Working with children and youth, I enjoy sharing the practices and experiences of mindfulness through stories, games and activities, and meditation practices, through the Method Eline Snel mindfulness programs. I currently work with schools offering mindfulness as part of the curriculum and in a private group or individual setting for children and teens. As the partner and trainer for the Academy for Mindful Teaching in Asia, I offer teacher training in the Method Eline Snel programs.

I am presently the Treasurer and committee member of the HK Mindfulness Teachers Network.

A Journey of Awareness and Change

With awareness, there is change. My approach centers on guiding participants to connect deeply with themselves, others, and the world. I use compassion as the guiding force to encourages individuals to listen to their own needs and discover their inner strength. In a supportive and kind environment, clients are free to explore and uncover their true selves.

Compassionate support

I specialize in behavioral challenges such as disordered eating behaviors (e.g., emotional eating, stress eating, binge eating). My commitment to compassion and understanding creates a safe space where clients can confront their struggles and learn healthier coping mechanisms.

Tailored Mindfulness Courses

I offer personalized mindfulness courses designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals, groups, and corporations. Whether I am working with adolescents or adults, my aim is to cultivate mindfulness in their daily lives and ensure that each client can learn and grow at their own pace.

Meaningful Transformation

I am dedicated to supporting others in making meaningful changes in their lives. I truly believe that by paying attention to ourselves, connecting with others, and engaging with the world around us, we can welcome transformation. Genevieve Hang
Genevieve Hang

My students describe what I teach as “applied Mindfulness” - using the skills of Mindfulness to approach every day challenges such as stress, time management and procrastination, distraction, dissatisfaction, worry, emotional upheaval and change, relationship issues among others. A practical, ‘start where you are’ approach allows for each individual to try different methods and practices to support an ongoing Mindfulness practice.

My own practice and approach is also inspired by Insight Dialogue, which brings mindfulness into the realm of relationship and community. This way of practising helps us wake up to the possibility of mutual respect, care and mindfulness as we engage in dialogue and interactions.  We discover the power of our intentions, words and presence which we can carry into our daily lives.

Together we can learn to see things as they really are, not as we wish or want them to be. From this place of clarity, then opens up the possibility of choosing what supports us and how we can show up in a way that creates a better world.

As a former  medical doctor and HR leader, I bring my personal and professional journey and experience into my current work in Mindfulness and coaching. My medical training means I apply an evidence-based understanding of how Mindfulness can positively affect us mentally, emotionally and biologically. My corporate background then helps me create practical, accessible and effective content and techniques for the individuals and companies I work with. I teach and apply Mindfulness for the purposes of improving well-being, personal effectiveness, and leadership capability.
